Hello! I am Sydney, a dedicated middle school science educator in Washington Court House, Ohio. I created this space for future students and parents to get to know my background, teaching philosophy, and expectations for an engaging and supportive school year.

Inspiring curiosity in young minds

I have always loved helping others learn and grow, which inspired me to pursue science education. Middle school is an exciting stage of life where students are naturally curious, beginning to shape their own unique perspectives, and full of enthusiasm to discover how the world works around them.

A supportive classroom environment

My classroom is designed to be an open and welcoming community where students feel safe asking questions, making mistakes, and actively exploring science concepts. Both parents and students can count on clear communication, mutual respect, and an encouraging atmosphere where every voice is heard and valued.

Life beyond the classroom

I graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor's degree in Middle Childhood Education. Outside of school, I spend quality time with my family, take long walks with my dog, and coach high school volleyball, which is one of my greatest passions alongside teaching.
